12 Most Underrated Bollywood Movies On imdb

Wassup, movie buffs? Though imdb is been claimed as the most reliable parameter across the globe to rate our movies, celebrities, web series and TV shows; there lies a wide argument over some Bollywood movies being poorly rated. But, before making vague judgements, get yourself equipped with the understanding of the general imdb parameters:-

  • Anyone registered as a legitimate imdb user can rate a movie.
  • A statistical average of all the ratings is what we talk about.
  • Any movie rated 7.0+ is worth watching, and qualifies as entertaining and sensible.
  • 8.0+ qualifies as a classy work of motion, combined with some incredible performances.
  • 9.0+ is a rare grading and is confined to a very rare epics across the globe.
  • imdb focuses on “aggregate people’s opinion”.

So, here’s our list of some “people’s favourite” bollywood blockbusters that didn’t get what they deserved:-

1- The one that shocks YRF

Introducing Hrithik in this Dhoom sequel proved to be a master stroke for Aditya. Surprisingly for YRF, it even got some excellent critical acclaims. However, imdb snatched that little glimmer of light they had, and rates it 6.4!

2- The rage of SRK fans

6.9 doesn’t justify those uncountable playful acts and little puns Badshah had. Having a strong storyline combined with SRK’s acting masterclass, this is evidently not a one time watch, since television channels featuring it even today get higher TRP rates against rest of the movies put together.

3- Shaalu and Aaloo, are both annoyed

I was personally saddened to watch this. Whenever this movie is featured on TV, I never switch to IPL even though I am a hardcore cricket fan. The on-screen chemistry between Kadar Khan and Akshay Kumar not just tickles your funny bone, but every scene following seems to complement the ones that went past.

4- This sure deserves 8.0+

A movie being stated as the best of the decade gets 7.8, including the fact that it is a pro in public attraction and TRP generation. The way its plot raises some questionable loopholes in our administration, is worth appreciating. Also, that Anil Kapoor-Amarish Puri interview scene is still claimed as the greatest source of troll and meme generation for Indians residing worldwide.

5- Some Hera Pheri while rating

Candidly, it wasn’t that classy as its prequel Hera Pheri. However, it still qualifies as one of the best in comedy. It is disheartening to see such movies being rated too below their true standing. We all especially owe it to Ae meri zohrajabee, for making our childhood memorable.

6- Well, it’s UNACCEPTABLE!

This is undoubtedly one of the best multiple time watch movies, especially for our #fun_wid_frndzz youth. YJHD is an epic work of motion, including its heart wrenching and awe generating end that automatically initiates goosebumps. However, imdb likes to showcase how biased and irrational users it has.

7- Some of Nana’s memorable works…

A 6.6 to a legend is even more surprising than Sonu Nigam’s  recent bald act. For me, this might make better headlines than some Maulvi’s rant in the media.

8- The critics are “Wanted” since this:

Yes, it was a South-Indian remake. This doesn’t necessarily mean that all Tamilians should take offence and rate it low! No matter how sexist Salman sounded when he spoke,”Aisi ladkiyan hum jaison ko dikhaane ke liye exercise karti hain” the movie was still a treat for every action lover out there 😉

9- Even the “Chewing Gum” took offence #PJ

Just have a look at this ⬆️ . Again a south-Indian remake, topping the charts, 3 wins and 4 nominations, but a nominal imdb ranking. It seems we all need a Bajirao Singham who fights against the injustice happening with such movies against the imdb!

10- And the raters lived happily ever after… INSIDE HELL!!!

Even Satan wouldn’t have enough guts to do this! With not much to say, I say: Do HELL with your reviews!

11- Just because it wasn’t Mainstream…

Raja Natwarlal had great critical reviews and excellent public opinion. There were wits, mystery, tricks, romance, action and almost the rest of all ingredients that require to make every movie in the world. However, in place of rating it 8.0+, it has been rated 6.1. Hats’ off!

12- Madhurta not found<Server error #420>

It is sheer injustice to mistreat a movie of such class ⬆️. It came as a shock not just to me but several others just when I passed the wisdom on. That’s why I request y’all to share such content, but you stubborn grabbers always find a way to get out of it! You see, that’s why it’s always ethical to raise voice against any shit happening right under our noses and not just cover them with some 5 rupee handkerchief!

So how was the torture, guys? Exert your rage in the comments, and share it as much as you can.

Goodbye 😉
